To human ears, the obscure little noises she made as she dug through her belongings was the only other oh-so obtrusive thing to be heard aside from the constant drum of raindrops on the roof of the café. What few people where huddled here for reprieve were silent, the dismal weather taking the good cheer from everyone it seemed. That was humans for you. Add a little rain and suddenly the whole universe was bleak and everything sucked.
Kyo shook herself distractedly, wishing the warm air of the café would dry her clothes faster. Being wet didn’t bother her. Hell, she absolutely loved the rain. But when it was pouring steel-cold as if to pierce the skin, and then she had to sit somewhere warm in sopping wet clothes, well, that was when she had an issue.
“Ah Kyo my dear, it’s lovely to see you…dripping all over the furniture….” Soft jade eyes skimmed over her and her mess.
Smiling mercury irises fixed unwaveringly onto the dark haired barman that came to stand beside her.
“Well if you like I can strip and rig a makeshift clothes line by the bar,” She pointed off in some various direction with the comb she’d fished from her bag.
He folded his arms across his deceptively thin chest. “You know I’d love to give you the go-ahead, but I’m afraid that if you did Miss Undead Mob Boss might take that as us moving in on her strip joint business.”
Kyo laughed, leaning towards him and cocking her head. “Aw Louie, are you scared of ‘Elvira’?”
Louise shook his head, a small grin visible on his perfectly thin lips. “Not the point.”
Kyo snickered, going back to fixing her appearance, causing Louis to arch a perfect auburn brow. “Hairspray and rain doth not get along,” was her answer to his very obvious and unasked question.
“Hm, well I suppose considering the amount of water you’ve tracked in, a bit of hairspray won’t make much of a difference.”
The slow, measured look she gave him was nothing short of demonic as she popped the top off the over-sized hair product. ‘a bit of hairspray’ was not in her vocabulary. She was a visual kei damn it. “Well, since I have your approval….”
Comb in one hand and hairspray in the other, Kyo began the intense process of ratting her hair into place with an inhuman speed and graceful touch that came by blood. Her eyes had left Louis for the window across the way, the bleak back dropping making it a perfect mirror to her wolf eyes. It took only seconds for her head to become enshrouded in a translucent cloud, quick as her fingers were.
By the time he could think of something to say against her excessive usage of product she was finished, and the cloud about her had succumbed to gravity, sticking to her, and everything within a 10 inch radius.
Kyo smiled innocently up at Louise who fanned the air and wrinkled his nose.
“You’re killing the ozone you know.”
